Creepy Pair of Underpants! By Aaron Reynolds

Jasper Rabbit is NOT a little bunny anymore. He’s not afraid of the dark, and he’s definitely not afraid of something as silly as underwear. But when the lights go out, suddenly his new big rabbit underwear glows in the dark. A ghoulish, greenish glow. If Jasper didn’t know any better, he’d say his undies were a little, well, creepy. Jasper’s not scared, obviously. He’s just done with creepy underwear. But after trying everything to get rid of them, they keep coming back!

As a long-time reader and a short-time author, I know for a fact that if you use the word underpants in a story, you’re guaranteed a laugh. Underwear jokes are just as classic as fart and butt jokes.

This story has a great horror movie element. Imagine doing everything in your power to get rid of something, but it somehow keeps coming back. Now that’s terrifying.

I surprisingly liked this story more than the first one. For one thing, it was more humorous than the first book. I also liked how the underpants’ ghoulish, greenish glow stands out against the black and white illustrations and adds to the spooky factor.

Small bonus, take note of the ever-changing facial expression on the underpants.

This week’s Weird but True Fact about Underwear

You can buy anti-flatulence underwear. Some companies make undies that claim to filter out and neutralize stinky odors.
